Pradeep Vaidya
प्रदीप वैद्य हे गेल्या ३५ वर्षांपासून नाट्यप्रशिक्षक, लेखक, दिग्दर्शक, नेपथ्यकार, संगीतकार आणि प्रकाशयोजनाकार म्हणून रंगभूमीवर कार्यरत आहेत. प्रायोगिक रंगभूमीवर त्यांनी नाट्यलेखन आणि रूपांतरकार म्हणून मोलाचे योगदान दिले आहे. त्यांनी रूपांतरित केलेली चैत्र (मूळ: फाल्गुनी / रवींद्रनाथ टागोर), तिची सतरा प्रकरणे (मूळ: ॲटेंप्ट्स ऑन हर लाईफ / मार्टिन क्रिम्प), एक रिकामी बाजू (मूळ: टिशू - लुई पेज), गजब कहाणी (मूळ कादंबरी: अॅन एलिफंट्स जर्नी - जोसे सारामागो) आणि उणे पुरे शहर एक (मूळ: बेंडा काळू ऑन टोस्ट / गिरीश कार्नाड) ही नाटके विशेष गाजली. सध्या प्रदीप ह्यांनी लिहिलेली काजव्यांचा गांव, हुताशनी, कोरा कॅनव्हास आणि उत्खनन ही नाटके रंगमंचावर सादर होत आहेत. नाट्यक्षेत्रातील उल्लेखनीय कामगिरीबद्दल २०१२ मध्ये त्यांना डॉ. श्रीराम व दीपा लागू यांच्या 'रूपवेध प्रतिष्ठान'तर्फे दिला जाणारा प्रतिष्ठित 'तन्वीर नाट्यधर्मी पुरस्कार'देऊन गौरविण्यात आले. अलीकडेच त्यांनी आपली पत्नी, अभिनेत्री व लेखिका रुपाली भावे यांच्यासह पुणे येथे 'द बॉक्स' या कल्पक कला-अवकाशाची (Art Space) निर्मिती केली आहे.
Pradeep Vaidya has been involved in the world of theatre for the past 35 years, contributing as a theatre educator, writer, director, set designer, composer, and light-designer. He has made significant contributions to experimental theatre as both a playwright and an adapter. His acclaimed adaptations include Chaitra (based on Rabindranath Tagore’s Phalguni), Tichi Satara Prakarane (Martin Crimp’s Attempts on Her Life), Ek Rikami Baju (Louise Page’s Tissue), Gajab Kahani (José Saramago’s novel The Elephant’s Journey), and Une Pure Shahar Ek (Girish Karnad’s Benda Kaalu on Toast).Currently, his original plays—Kajavyancha Gaon, Hutashani, Kora Canvas, and Utkhanan—are being performed on stage. In 2012, Pradeep was honored with the prestigious Tanveer Natyadharmi Award, presented by Dr. Shreeram and Deepa Lagoo’s Roopwedh Pratishthan for his contributions to theatre. Recently, along with his wife, actress and writer Rupali Bhave, he established 'The Box' in Pune—an innovative art space for creative expression.
