नवी हाक: मौन : ०.२
साहित्य/कलाकृती मागविण्यासाठीची ही हाक, या आधी प्रकाशित, ‘मौन’ या विषयाला वाहिलेल्या अंकाचा विस्तार आहे. नव्या अंकासाठी, नियतकालिकातील ‘कथन’ आणि ‘दृश्यांगण’ या विभागात समाविष्ट होतील अशा साहित्य आणि /किंवा कलाकृतींचा स्वीकार केला जाईल.
मौन म्हणजे निःशब्दता, शांतता, स्तब्धता, अव्यक्त अवकाश, अबोला, शुकशुकाट किंवा सन्नाटा. मौन म्हणजे नीरवता. मौनात निर्मितीचे क्षण दडलेले असू शकतात. तिथे अलिप्ततेचा भावही लपलेला असू शकतो. विचारांच्या आणि भावनांच्या स्तरावर व्यक्तीशी किंवा भवतालाशी जोडून घेण्यासंबंधीची निरिच्छाही मौनातून व्यक्त होऊ शकते. अव्याहत व्यक्त होणाऱ्यांसमोर मौन राहणे हे आत्मविश्वासाचे प्रतीक असू शकते. पण शांत राहण्यामुळे एखादी भावना किंवा विचार दुर्लक्षिलाही जाऊ शकतो. आणि शोषणाच्या संदर्भातील मौन हे तर सत्ताधीशांविषयीच्या, शोषकांविषयीच्या भयातून जन्म घेत असते. असे मौन ही शोषणासमोर शरणागती पत्करण्याची किंवा मुस्कटदाबीकडे डोळेझाक करण्याची वृत्ती ठरू शकते. मौन स्वेच्छेने राखलेले असू शकते, तसेच ते बाहेरून लादलेले असू शकते, ते इतरांना स्वमर्जीप्रमाणे वागायला लावण्यासाठीचे शस्त्र असू शकते, किंवा गप्प राहणे ही एखाद्याची सवयही असू शकते. एकंदरीत, जे मानवी भाषेतून शब्दांकित होऊ शकत नाही, अशा अफाट भवतालातील आणि मानवी अनुभवविश्वातील गुंत्यांचे प्रतीक असणाऱ्या मौनाला समजून घेणे किंवा त्याचा अर्थ लावणे सहज शक्य नसते. ‘हाकारा’च्या एकविसाव्या आवृत्तीतून ‘मौन’ या संकल्पनेवर प्रकाश टाकण्याचा मानस आहे.
अपेक्षित साहित्य प्रकार: कथात्म साहित्य, नाट्यात्म कथनरूपे, चरित्रात्मक किंवा आत्मचरित्रात्मक लेखन, प्रवासवर्णने, दृश्यरूपात्मक अभिव्यक्ती, चित्रकृती, छायाचित्रे, चित्रपट आणि चित्रफिती, प्रयोगात्म सादरीकरणे, आणि काष्ठ, कागद इत्यादी विविध साधनद्रव्यांचे सर्जक आविष्कार.

New Call: Silence: 0.2
This call is an extension of our previous edition, published on the theme of ‘Silence’. For our new issue, we are accepting submissions that fit into the following categories: ‘Narrative’ and ‘Panorama’.
Silence is quietude, calmness, stillness and speechlessness: it is the absence of sound. It could be a moment of creation. It could point to a sense of deep understanding– the kind where words are redundant. In interpersonal relationships, it could signify aloofness: the desire to not engage with or neglect others. While silence in the face of incessant chatter is a sign of self-assuredness, silence in the face of oppression stems from fear: it denotes a submission to the powers that be and leads to complicity. It can be self-willed, externally enforced, manipulative or simply a matter of habit. Finally, silence is a reminder of the vastness of human experience, which cannot ever be fully articulated through language. In Hakara’s 22nd edition, we are interested in exploring the different facets of silence through visual, literary, critical, and other experimental forms.
Accepting Submissions for:
Fiction, dramatic narratives, biographical or autobiographical writings, memoirs, travelogues, visual narratives, visual arts, photography, film and video, performances, and creative forms of material engagement.
Submission Deadline: November 10, 2024
