Datta Patil
दत्ता पाटील हे गेल्या पंचवीस वर्षांपासून नाट्यलेखन करत आले आहेत. त्यांचे पाणी-प्रश्नावरचे हंडाभर चांदण्या हे नाटक गेल्या दहा वर्षांपासून मराठी रंगभूमीवर गाजते आहे. मानसरंग-प्रकल्पाची निर्मिती असलेले तो राजहंस एक, एन. सी. पी. ए., मुंबई ह्यांची निर्मिती असलेले कलगीतुरा ह्यांशिवाय त्यांनी दगड आणि माती, गढीवरच्या पोरी, इथेच टाका तंबू ह्यांसह अनेक नाटकांचे व एकांकिकांचे लेखन केले आहे. त्यांना नाट्यलेखनाकरिता अमेरिकेच्या महाराष्ट्र फाउंडेशनचा रा. शां. दातार पुरस्कार, मुंबईतील चैत्रचाहूल पुरस्कार, विखे-पाटील पुरस्कार, म. टा. सन्मान, झी गौरव पुरस्कार, धी गोवा हिंदू असोसिएशनचा पुरस्कार, नाट्यपरिषदेचा पुरस्कार, एन. सी. पी. ए.चा दर्पण पुरस्कार ह्यांसह विविध पुरस्कार प्राप्त झाले आहेत. त्यांची नाटके विविध विद्यापीठांतील अभ्यासक्रमांमध्ये शिकवली जातात. हंडाभर चांदण्या हे नाटक सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठ, तसेच प्रताप महाविद्यालय (अमळनेर), मणिबेन महिला महाविद्यालय (मुंबई) येथे अभ्यासक्रमामध्ये आहे. दगड आणि माती हे नाटक मुंबई विद्यापीठाच्या बी. ए. मराठी-द्वितीयवर्षाच्या अभ्यासक्रमामध्ये, तर तो राजहंस एक हे नाटक डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर मराठवाडा विद्यापीठाच्या बी. ए.च्या अभ्यासक्रमामध्ये आहे. बंगलोरमधील बहुवचना प्रकाशन व तमाशा थिएटर ह्यांच्या वतीने नुकताच त्यांच्या तो राजहंस एक ह्या नाटकाचा कन्नडमध्ये अनुवाद करण्यात आला आहे. दत्ता पाटील सध्या यशवंतराव चव्हाण महाराष्ट्र मुक्त विद्यापीठात प्रोफेसर ऑफ प्रॅक्टीस (ललित कला केंद्र) ह्या पदावर कार्यरत आहेत.
Datta Patil has been actively engaged in playwriting for the past twenty-five years. His play Handabhar Chandanya, centred on the issue of water scarcity, has remained widely acclaimed on the Marathi stage for over a decade. His work in theatre has received several prestigious honours, including the Ra. Shan. Datar Award from the Maharashtra Foundation, the Chaitrachahool Award, Vikhe Patil Award, Mata Sanman, Zee Gaurav, Goa Hindu Association Award, Natya Parishad Award, and the NCPA Darpan Award, among others. He has written several plays and one-act plays such as To Rajhans Ek, produced under the Mansarang project, Kalgitura, produced by National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), as well as Dagad Ani Mati, Gadhivarachya Pori, and Ithech Taka Tambu. His plays are taught in the curricula of various universities. Handabhar Chandanya is part of the syllabus at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pratap College, Amalner, and Maniben Women’s College, Mumbai. Dagad Ani Mati is included in the second-year B.A. Marathi syllabus at University of Mumbai, while To Rajhans Ek is taught in the B.A. programme at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. His play To Rajhans Ek was translated into Kannada by Bahuvachana Prakashana and Tamasha Theatre, Bangalore.Datta Patil currently serves as Professor of Practice at the Lalit Kala Kendra of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University.
