Fear and Other Poems

back
Woman

A woman
Is

A tightly
Shut

Door

Talking forever
Through

The cracked walls
Of

Her wounded
Silences

***

Deadlock

Her eye,
A frozen lake.

My gaze,
A stuck boat.

***

Fear

Like a foetus
Inside the dark womb

Fear curls up,
Waiting to burst open

Like an overripe fruit.

***

Untitled

Beaten to pulp,
Gulping my own spit

Broken in my soul, I enter
Into my own shadow

As a woman
Slips into her petticoat.

Very powerful images lurking on the brink of fantasy of a demon lover- Somewhat frustrating- for letting such powerful invocation lapse into it.
