डॉ. केशवचैतन्य कुंटे
डॉ. केशवचैतन्य कुंटे हे हार्मोनिअमवादक, बंदिशकार, संगीत-रचनाकार, संस्कृति-संगीतशास्त्राचे अभ्यासक व गुरू असे बहुपेडी व्यक्तिमत्त्व आहे. डॉ. अरविंद थत्ते, पं. मोहनराव कर्वे आणि डॉ. अशोक दा. रानडे ह्यांचे शिष्य असलेले डॉ. कुंटे हे ‘संगीत अलंकार’ असून, त्यांनी संगीतात डॉक्टरेट प्राप्त केली आहे. त्यांची राग चैतन्य, भारतीय धर्मसंगीत इत्यादी पुस्तके प्रकाशित आहेत. सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठाच्या ‘ललित कला केंद्र गुरुकुल’ येथे डॉ. कुंटे संगीताचे अध्यापन करतात. ‘डॉ. अशोक दा. रानडे अर्काइव्ह्ज’चे ते संस्थापक-संचालक आहेत.
Dr. Keshavchaitanya Kunte is a creative music performer, educator and expert in cultural musicology. Kunte has completed an M.A. in History and Indology, an M.Phil. in Archaeology, and a PhD in Music. He has performed widely in India and abroad. As a creative composer, he has composed around 400 Hindustani Art music compositions published in two volumes of his oeuvre ‘Raga Chaitanya’. He has authored five books, edited five books and published several research articles. There are numerous creative projects, thematic concert presentations and commercial releases to his credit. His book ‘Bharatiya Dharma Sangeet’ is highly appreciated as a pioneering book in this field. Currently, Dr. Kunte is an Assistant Professor of music at the Centre for Performing Arts, Savitribai Phule Pune University. Kunte is the founder-director of ‘Dr. Ashok Da. Ranade Archives for Performing Arts and Culture’, Pune.
